SUMMARY:Candlelight Lessons and Carols with the Basilica Schola and Basilica Voices
DESCRIPTION:Our adult Schola and children’s choir join forces for our annual Advent celebration featuring favorite Advent carols and selections from Handel’s Messiah. This year we will feature Gounod’s Magnificat\, on his 200th birthday. The organ\, celebrating its 150th anniversary\, will be featured on a Ricercar “Sancta Maria” by Girolamo Frescobaldi\, with the choirs singing the completion of the 400-year-old musical puzzle.
